Max was born and raised in the city of Nottingham to accountant James Everington and Samantha Everington. He was a relatively quiet child being classed as a 'geek' at primary school. He kept to himself during those years, keeping his head down and getting good grades in all his classes. However when he went to high school his life completely changed as he became more outgoing but was far from being par of the popular crowd at school.
Max moved up north to Glasgow to go to University and during his course on getting a degree in software engineering he managed to uncover a flaw in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) website with him being contacted in suspicion of trying to hack into the website however it was proved that he was not doing anything of the sort and in his year out he was offered a placement at the MOD to work on the team that maintains the ministry's website.
His performance during that time saw him to the job full time after the end of his degree. During the almost three years there his job roles varied and he caught the eye of Ian Sunderland who was head of the counter-terrorism unit at MI5 who then recruited him to MI5 to be the replacement to a retiring technician. This is where Max first met Adam Grant who also recently joined MI5. Max's skills helped field agents like Adam by managing to hack into security systems to change access codes, kill cameras, accessing databases, ect. He occasionally saw field action but most of the times stayed in Themes House.
In 2021 he was asked to join MI7 who people in MI5 and MI6 referred to just as 'Section 7'. He was not to sure what he was actually going to be getting in to but in the end he accepted and quickly he discovered a lot more about the Stargate Program that had still been kept secret after the program got made public. When the British started to get indications that the Stargate administration could be compromised and could be a danger to Britain and the Commonwealth so the proposal came forward to put a agent in undercover to the program without the any other nations knowing. The character of Zafar Donaldson was created to be a gate technician for the Atlantis Expedition. Zafar was the person that was chosen to go undercover as his experience made him most suited for the job.
Max only spent less than a year on Atlantis as it was decided that he would be used to infiltrate the growing ranks of the Imperial Brotherhood which resulted in his injuring Alex Beckett and going AWOL. He was later picked up by Robert Dragodamnio after they heard of his departure from Atlantis. He took up the offer to get in the Rebellion and spend three years getting intel to help prevent attacks in Britain and Commonwealth ships.
It was decided the Max would get pulled out in 2026 when it was believed the Jessica Walker was close to discovering his spying on the Brotherhood so an operation launched by the HMCS Aurora he was retrieved from Brotherhood space and was taken back to Earth for debriefing before he was sent back to Atlantis but this time without the cover of an alias.
Alias: Zafar DonaldsonEdit
The profile of Zafar Donaldson was created by MI7 as a way of getting a spy into the Stargate program after intelligence indicated that there as traitors in the ranks of the program including high in the chain of command who could which side to the Tau'ri Rebellion. The idea was to discover the information without the United States of America knowing of the placing of a British spy in the program since the American leadership could also have been compromised. With the cover being a gate technician Max was chosen because of his computer expertise as he was the most suited for the role in Section A.
However during his time undercover MI7 saw am opportunity to get him into the ranks of the Imperial Brotherhood making him look to turn traitor and go AWOL while on a mission form AE-1. This resulted in MI7 being able to gather intelligence on the Brotherhood to help in avoiding attacks that they tried to plan on Earth or against British assets.

Zafar was born around 4th April 1991. He was an orphan after being abandoned by his birth parents. He had a tough up bringing. Not knowing who his parents are, if they are dead or alive, or even just why they left him. Life in the orphanage was tough but he did eventually make it out of there after getting adopted by the Frank and Olivia Donaldson.
Frank and Olivia Donaldson had tried for a child unsuccessfully when they decided to adopt. Life started to get better for Zafar even though Frank was a former marine now a car salesman and Olivia is a manager at their local Starbucks. He stayed their only child and to Zafar they where his mum and dad. However he has continued to try and find his real parents.
Zafar joined the Air Force after leaving High School as an enlisted officer and his technical ability saw him assigned straight to Stargate Command as a Junior Gate Technician after training. He took a two year assignment to SG-11, an engineering team at the time before returning to the control room. He remained at Stargate Command for just over four years.
Zafar's first assignment outside Stargate Command was to Atlantis as a gate tech and NCOIC of Atlantis-Pegasus Command. He was also placed on AE-1 flagship team after recent reassignments and due to the experience he had at the SGC. He was picked by Lieutenant Colonel Jason Walker and became the team's Technical Specialist.
He is a very friendly person that anyone can talk to. He does follow the chain of command strictly though.
