As the teams emerged from the Stargate Leah lowered her weapon as she glanced around. Looking from left to right she noticed the largely industrial style of their surroundings. For once it seemed they were starting from the inside of a structure. It was her first time seeing so many Genii... in fact she found it a little unsettling as she turned back to look at the others for some form of direction. "Man this is awkward, I feel like I'm in the twilight zone for sure now. This is all kinds of strange."

Daniel stepped through the gate, his HUD began to softly beep showing him persons in red, he assumed that red meant hostile as the SG team members were showing up as green. He'd leave it alone for now given the information he had been told about the Genii by the Major just a couple minutes before. As he looked around he kept his rifle ready to pull up just in case this turned into a firefight.

Daniel was a little surprised that they were in a building of some sort, it wasn't exactly what he was expecting, it almost felt like being in the SGC except for the Genii and the surroundings. He turned his thoughts back to the mission and took up position near the gate and waited for orders from Major Graham or Commander Rayner.

Aaron walked through the event horizon and saw they were now surrounded by Genii inside a building of some kind. He took a few steps to stand in front of his colleagues as if to shield them should things go bad.

He had heard Leah and looked over his shoulder at her. "What makes you say that?" He asked, he glanced over at the other team's leader for any sign of what they were to do.

An older gentleman in a lab coat rushed forward as the gate activate and their own came back, accompanied by things in armor. "Colm, who are they?!" He gestured at the armored figures, "Sir they are from the City of the Ancients, they have offered their help in discovering what ever this plague may be that brings back the dead." The doctor who'd accompanied the team back replied with a visible shutter.

Nodding the older gentleman nodded, "Very well, this way if you please." He said grumbling, turning and limping off in the direction he came, "I don't understand why your people are wearing those suits, we've already determined the contamination isn't in the air..." He said over his shoulder with a clearly agitated tone, but he was rightfully so. Colm wasn't supposed to bring anyone from the city back, he was only supposed to get answers... Typical of the Atlantians to stick their noses in other business.

"There isn't much left, we had to destroy the brain to get them to stop their attack, and... lets just say it took us much trial and error to figure that out." He replied as he shoulder open a set of swinging double doors, "Here is what's left of the team, the first to re-animate?" He said questioningly, "Is there." He pointed to the furthest examination table with his cane, "These two," He added, gesturing to them middle tables,"Were only able to partially reanimate before we put them down."

"The last." He said slowly, looking at the body with sad smile, "My son never reanimated. We can't figure out why, but his body is the most intact." He turned and pointed at a heavy bulkhead door, "Behind that door is what's left of the other four who reanimated and were extremely damaged in attempting to stop them."

"All of our findings are on that terminal there, please find what you need and then leave." The older gentleman said before limping off angrily leaving the team alone in the morgue, the doctor who'd accompanied them from Atlantis entered the room along with two guards.

He looked awkwardly at the team, "Uh.. just in case... I hope you can understand..." He stammered.

Further down the hall the older gentleman dug into one of the pockets on his lab coat for his radio, finding it he dug it out, "Sergeant, what is the status of your team and your mission." He growled into the radio as he leaned up against a wall digging in his other pocket for his pills.

=^= Doctor *static*.... were on the *static* sub-level .... we've managed to trap them in *static* .... there are only a *static* left! .... *static* But I've lost *static* my team, hold on.... *static*... *gun fire and explosions* ... they've broken out .... *static* there's more of them .... *further gun fire and explosions* .... They've broken out, we're being over run, we've lost containment *constant static* =^=

He tried to raise the Sergeant again and again but to no avail, he was dead clearly. "Dammit man!" The doctor growled, and began to once more limp off down the hall way, his cane clicking along the floor as he went his pill all but forgotten about; as he went he grabbed a solider as she passed by. "Lock off everything below this level, nothing in nothing out. Period. And quietly begin evacuating this level, but leave the morgue alone. Am I clear?!"

"Y... Ye.... yes sir!" She said with a quick nervous salute before rushing off.

Changing the channel on the radio, "Colm, I need you to join me in my lab, leave the guards." He ordered of his younger colleague, they needed to destroy anything that could give them impression it was their fault, they needed to collect years of research and experiments, they needed to leave and never come back.

Kovac followed along quietly, his LSAT cradled in his arms as they walked down the hall following the older Doctor. 'I wonder what his malfunction is?' He mused to himself as they were lead into the morgue. He moved in closer to the last table as the doctor describe what had happened; he moved down the line to each body as the Doctor left and was replaced by the one from Atlantis and two guards. "Are we being babysat?" He asked to the two guards who ignored him and moved to stand one inside the room, the other on the outside.

The second Doctor had disappeared summoned by a radio call, this who thing was starting to feel hinky. "Guys I don't have a good feeling about this." He said as he reached up and stopped, remembering that the infection or what ever it was could very well still be airborne despite the Genii's claims.

Frank was already finding the Genii an unpleasant sort, and this was smelling like one big cover job already by the time the good doctor had ran off and left them under guard.

"Read it and leave, my arse." Frank growled, before looking to Rayner, "Don't bother with whatever's in here for reading material. Take one of the team with you and go after our esteemed doctor, and get the real story from him, because I don't buy for two seconds that they don't know what's going on."

He then approached the guards, figuring that if Sheppard had to empty a G36 into a Vanir in one of these suits, and it had been standing still and didn't fight back, then he'd have plenty of time to react if they opted to shoot. A calculated risk of sorts, and he had taken plenty of those in his career.

"I'm running a real good bet that either one of you know enough about what's going on here to know that standing around in here is a waste of our time and yours. So, let's cut to the chase. Containment's apparently failed again, so would it be safe to assume that A) the doctor's just falling back on protocols that don't bloody work, and that B) you need every gun you can get?" Frank asked, watching both of the guards very carefully, mentally tensing for a fight but remaining physically calm.

As Rayner questioned her Leah rose a brow. "This whole thing is freaky. We got souped up undead, I'm walking around in alien armor..." She paused for a moment noting the individual heading their way with a cross look and several choice words. "And this guy's got a stick up his ass," she muttered before following along with the others. She tightened her grip around the MK18 in her hands as they went along.

Passing through the double doors, her hand shot out, catching one side to keep it from hitting her, eyes lowering into a glare slightly but she had to remind herself to stay calm and not start a fight here. Instead she focused on the bodies, heading over toward the second and third, giving them a visual. She wasn't sure on how the Genii felt about outsiders touching their dead... let alone their living. They seemed like jerks for the most part. And she was all for cracking one of these dudes open and seeing what made them tick.

Human's were one thing, but she didn't know a whole lot about these beings. Her attention went elsewhere though. The door housing those... 'damage' individuals. Her curiosity was tugging at the back of her mind. Not that she planned to just waltz over and throw the door open. She took a second to check the suits seals before backing away from the bodies with a hint of anxiety. Her attention went toward the other doctor who left in a hurry and left them alone with the guards. That didn't hel p her at all. She took a few steps toward the guards. It was never a good sign.

If things had gone to hell she had doubts that these two guards would be much help in stopping what was wrecking this entire place. Secondly they were collateral and could prove to be problematic if they attempted to stop the...Atlantians from leaving. "Why do I feel like a prisoner?" She muttered to no one in particular as she removed the mag for a split second to check it and slammed it back in place, flicking the safety off. "Think the Major is spoiling..."

As the old man approached and Rayner gave Leah a teasing glance, although she couldn't see it, it just happened. "I don't know, this armour is kinda cool." He replied just before the old Genii man spoke.

Aaron suppressed a laugh about Leah's comment of the stick up the old man's butt. He had to think about anything else to keep it away.

As they were shown the bodies of the dead and told to gather what they needed and leave, Aaron didn't believe the Genii, considering their history with Atlantis. When Kovac voiced what Aaron was getting in his gut, he nodded. "I have to agree with Kovac." He said.

A moment later Frank told Aaron to take a team member and find the old man, he was happy to. "Aye sir. Come Havenborn," Aaron gestured to the Sergeant. The pair approaching the guards.

"You can't leave yet, you haven't done anything." One guard said.

"Are you kidding, I doubt any of the information we have been supplied with is everything." Aaron said. "I want to see that Doctor of yours, more importantly if I don't, we don't," he corrected himself, "then I will make you step aside. Though I'm sure my friend here." He gestured to Havenborn again. "Would love to make you dance."

The guards exchanged a worried look and since they couldn't see neither Aaron's nor Daniel's faces it was hard to see any indication of their true intentions. They stepped aside and Rayner followed by Havenborn stomped outside with the armour boots clicking on the floor.

One guard followed them though and Aaron wasn't fussed about it.

Aaron heard a radio, only barely, and the Colm passed him in the corridor. "Something's up." He said to Havenborn. "Let's go."

The Genii security forces could not hold the containment as the undead simply got up after being knocked down and pressed forward. Some of the guards were assaulted as the Zombies, mostly by bites and scratches, came flooding through the base.

It only took moments for them to overwhelm the base's personnel and it was unclear if anyone would survive.

Aaron and Havenborn were on their way to finding out what was going on when they saw people running towards them. Aaron grabbed the Sergeant and pulled him to the side out of the gangway.

The Australian then looked towards where the Genii were coming from and saw a growing crowd of the undead. Aaron yelped in surprise and grabbed Havenborn as he began to follow the Genii at a fast run. "Run!" He ordered.

=^= Rayner... to Graham... I suggest.... we run.... back to the.... gate. The undead.... are everywhere. =^= Aaron was out of breath as he tried to warn the others while running.

Aaron heard someone come out of a room into the oncoming Zombie wave. He looked behind him and a pang of sadness for that individual washed over Aaron. As he turned to face the direction he was going, he heard a scream and other horrific sounds followed but when he glanced over his shoulder he saw that the person who screamed was now part of the undead chasing them.

He saw fresh wounds on the new Zombie and cringed realizing that Zombification only took seconds once skin was broken.

=^= Oh crap..... Don't let them.... touch you, you become.... one of them. =^= Aaron called into the still open channel.

Kovac had been studying the bodies not locked behind the door, and whatever had happened to them, it was neither pleasant nor pretty. It took a person and turned them into a feral animal, with two goals survive and procreate. In this case pass on the virus, or whatever it was to new hosts.

He'd left his LSAT propped up next to the door as he had inspected the bodies, and that might not have been such a good thing, as the door holding the others burst into the room. They slammed into him like a wave, pushing him back trying to drive him to the floor. The whole while biting and scratching at his Ancient Armor.

Grinning he went to a knee, and drew his .45 raising it he shot his way out of the horde. Body shots were only stunning the things, maybe dropping them to the floor where they'd quickly rise. He shifted his aim. A point blank headshot did the work, as he moved back towards the door the rest of the team provided covering fire as he did so. Holstering his .45 he grabbed the light machine gun and charged it.

"Ready to move Sir!" He shouted over the last few shots, "I think it's best we move and move quickly," He said as he checked the door, the hallway was clear for the time being, "And I think were pretty safe, as long as they can't get through these suits..."

As the doors flung open and the undead started to make a b-line for Kovac Leah turned with an expletive and dropped to a knee to allow anyone behind her to have clear LOS as she leveled her MK18. Initially the shot wasn't clear but once Kovac made some room she started cutting loose, firing bursts into their bodies. It was a fairly sickening sight to be honest. But she would admit to herself that the worse part was watching them get back up, that screwed with her. “Oh hell…”

Her fire shifted for headshots, squeezing of single and two round bursts until the bodies dropped. She stood up slowly, glancing back toward the door here their guards stood, noting the sounds of individuals panicked through the comms warped around Rayner’s voice. She released the spent mag, dropping it back into her ruck before retrieving a freshmag and slamming it into place with a pat.

She pulled the charging handle back and flicked the safety on, letting the weapon hang from its strap as she pulled her M1014 from her right leg, she cleared the feed and started pushing shells in. “This is going to get closer than I would like,” she grumbled as she chambered the first shell and brought the weapon to her shoulder. She kept the flashlight off for the time being, feeling she wouldn't need it with the suit and its optics, not only that but this place still had some form of power. “Fast march to the gate it is.”

She took point out the door, moving around the Chief as she walked down the way they came. “This is my boomstick,” she muttered out loud as she checked damn near each window into the rooms they passed. She wasn't in the mood to have one of those things, or even a horde pop out behind them or in the middle of their formation and reek havoc.

Leah moved carefully and quietly, one foot in front of the other as she moved slowly, not wanting to draw the attention of those things, or even survivors for that matter. Basically if it wasn't human she didn't think it should be tagging along, for the simple sake of she wasn't entirely sure what all it took to be infected by this…virus. Hence why they were all suited up. She refused to risk the safety of home base to be a humanitarian, besides their orders had no guidelines for bringing anyone extra back.

She pressed her back against the wall, shotgun angled outward as she sighted down the hall to the right. She then brought her back from the wall, turning slowly to pie the wall to her left. She determined it as clear and started moving again, making that turn through the doors. The noise as echoing through the halls, it was chaos, made communicating a tad annoying, especially trying to hear. A situation that played hell on one of your senses forces you to heighten one that isn’t being taxed.

She made sure to watch for Rayner and Havenborn, expecting to cross paths ith them at some point. But that thought also sickened her somewhat. Seemed they were int eh thick of it as it were, they'd be bringing some nasty hombre's down on the gate. "Do we have anything capable o damaging the gate on this side? I believe containment would be the priority here...right?" She asked somewhat, easing her own nerves as she continued to move cautiously.

"Well isn't this just a fine start!" Frank shouted over the din of gunfire, backing with the others the way they came from the wall of undead charging them. Annoyingly, the suit's HUD was now on the fritz, all of the readouts switching from English to Indian and then to Vietnamese (he thought, anyways). He fired round after round from his L85A2, but it was like trying to stop a tidal wave with a push broom and bad language.

"Just how many people were in this facility?!" Frank shouted, more or less venting his frustrations aloud while he reached to switch weapons, letting the L85 hang over his chest while he readied his Benelli M3T, now wishing for a moment he had gone for a USAS-12 or AA-12 now. He resumed firing, but for catching more in the shot groups, there was still little to be done as they backtracked to the gate, aside from slamming a hatch shut behind them once they were all through to stall their progress.

"This was a bloody mistake coming here. We're leaving, and blowing this facility's DHD on our way out. Let's go." Frank said, leading the way to the gate room. Thankfully, the suit had returned to English displays, which at least allowed him to autodial Atlantis on the gate.

"360 Security. If it's not in Ancient Armor, we blow it apart." Frank said while the gate began the dialing process, but the pounding on the hatch was getting louder, as was the creaking of metal. Just as the remainder of their team reached the gate room, the gate finished dialing. Frank took a moment as they arrived to open up the facility's dialing computer, and stuck in two blocks of C-4 inside of it, and a third block on the top of it.

=^= Atlantis Actual, this is Alpha Echo Two-One Actual. We're coming in hot. Have the shield ready to activate the second we're through. This is about as bad as it's going to get. =^= Frank said into his radio, "Go go go!" He shouted, waving the teams through the gate and bringing up the rear as the hatch and other doors gave way. Frank hit the clacker detonator, blowing their DHD to hell and gone as he jumped through the event horizon and was back on Atlantis, the gate shield flickering on right behind him.

"Close the gate! NOW!" He shouted at the gate technicians. The gate immediately was shut down. Frank pulled off his helmet, scowling back at the offline gate. Immediately, he approached Colonel Johnson.

"Sir, I don't know what the Genii were up to, but they withheld enough information we nearly didn't make it. I suggest we put that address in red, and tell the Genii their facility is a complete loss. The best thing they can do now is euthanize it." Frank said, "Since I'd just as soon mail a nuke back through if there weren't a ton of zombies in their gate room. I blew up their DHD, so it's at least not going to dial anyone and spread."

He turned to everyone else, "You all did a fine job, given the hand you were dealt. I'm pleased to see that everything I was told was quite true."

Daniel followed close to Commander Rayner, he wasn't sure what to really expect.

Aaron heard a radio, only barely, and the Colm passed him in the corridor. "Something's up." He said to Havenborn. "Let's go."

"Right behind you sir." Daniel said as he kept up with the Commander.

Aaron yelped in surprise and grabbed Havenborn as he began to follow the Genii at a fast run. "Run!" He ordered.

Daniel didn't need to be told twice, he began to run behind the Commander making sure to keep up. Daniel watched as one of the Genii was turned into a zombie.

=^= Oh crap..... Don't let them.... touch you, you become.... one of them. =^= Aaron called into the still open channel.

"That's a little disconcerting." Daniel said to no one in particular as he switched weapons to his HK53, he figured he could fire off shots while running to maybe slow down the tide.

As they neared opened the door to the gate Daniel saw that it was already activated and saw Major Graham ushering both teams through the active gate, he kept pace with Commander Rayner ran through the gate emerging in Atlantis on the other side. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he watched as the gate deactivated and waited for orders.

Glenn had returned to his spartan office once he'd seen both teams off on their mission; he was unsettled, his many years as both an officer and a warfighter told him something was off. Someone wasn't telling them something. But he didn't have the answers to answer his own question, nor was it his responsibility at that point, it was the teams in the field.

So he turned his attention to learning the command he'd just taken over, a less daunting task than having to teach college students. Now that was a job, a very tough job. He pulled a pad of paper out of his assault pack and a pen from the pocket on his sleeve and called up the first department head. He had a lot to learn.

Leaning back in his chair Glenn leafed to a new page of the pad of paper, and reached up to call in another department head when the gate started dialing. Standing Glenn moved into the control room, "Report?" He said as he came to stand behind the gate control technician. "Unscheduled off world activation Sir." He reported, to which Glenn nodded and moved for the stairs, "Scramble the security teams, and medical as well." He ordered as he mounted the stairs and moved towards the gate.

=^= Atlantis Actual, this is Alpha Echo Two-One Actual. We're coming in hot. Have the shield ready to activate the second we're through. This is about as bad as it's going to get. =^=

=^= This is Actual, you are clear! =^= He responded into the channel, turning towards the control tech, "Ready on the shield!"

"Yes Sir!" Came the response as the two away teams came pilling through the gate. The minute the last man was through the shield was activated and the worm hole destabilized.

Glenn nodded, "Good, get yourselves cleaned up and checked out by medical, and we'll debrief once your done." He said to the away teams, before turning back towards the control room, the Major was more than right with his suggestion and Glenn was going to do just that. And contact the Genii...

That would be a rather unpleasant task.

As the Major started issuing orders Leah collapsed her shotgun and stored it away, bringing the MK 18 back up and switch from safe to auto as she took a knee in a defensive position. Her finger poised on the trigger as she watched the door. Leah wondered just how many were out there, again the thought of how many personnel were in this installation.

She glanced back at the others, then finally the major as the gate materialized. She turned on a dime and sprinted through the event horizon, diving through it. She came down the ramp in the Atlantis Gate room in a roll. Landing on her knee, she stood up slowly, removing the helmet as she turned to see the boss man coming through last. She released a breath she wasn't aware that she had been holding.

Leah gave a simple nod toward the praise from their new commander. She switched her weapon to safe and let it rest at her side. She decided to get her gear turned in and take that armor off. Followed by a nice long much deserved shower.
