Sam checked no one was around before replying to the Major. =/\= I'm in the trees behind the Cells. =/\= She whispered into the radio. While she awaited the arrival of her team mates, it gave her time to think, which was a bad thing. She wanted to go find Lowrey. Although her mind was saying 'He's been captured, wait for reinforcements.' her heart was saying 'Go in and drag his ass out of there'. She fidgeted behind the tree. Should she go or should she stay.

Standing up, she started walking back to the cells. Sam only took a few steps before she walked back to the tree. grabbing her fore head with her left hand, she stressed her self as to what she should do. Worrying about Anthony didn't help her judgement in the slightest. She began to pace back and forth. The fact she was making noise and anyone could have made her position didn't take account in her mind. Sam just wanted this ordeal over and done with so she could get back to the SGC.

=/\= I'm in the trees behind the Cells. =/\=

=^=Right, understood. We are on our way just don't move from your position.=^= David said. Looking to his team, David got on to his radio to all of them, knowing that the Doctor would be able to hear as well, given that she was on their channel. =^=Okay guys listen up. Troy, Jackson, Rehnold... meet up with the Doctor and take her a quarter mile from the village. If LaHaye and I are able to free Lowrey then he's going to need a medic close at hand. Keep a close eye on her and yourself; don't need you guys getting captured too.=^=

Giving the signal to move out, David nodded to LaHaye who began to accompany him to the center of the village where he saw Korban, the village leader, talking with his police force.

"Commandant, he says he is from another planet. His uniform is unrecognizable, his weapons and equipment is far beyond our technolog-" The officer raised his hand to silence the Sergeant. He entered the room and quietly shut the door behind him, to not wake Captain Lowrey, who had been knocked unconscious. Sneaking behind the Captain, he grabbed him by the back of his head and jerked it upwards, growling "My name is Commandant Jaefeus Balleto. Now you are going to tell me everything. First of all, where are you from and what are you doing here."

A sharp pain ripped through Anthony's shoulder. They had removed the makeshift bandage that Sam had made, which allowed the wound to resume bleeding. Did Sam make it? Did these guys shoot her?! "Lowrey, Captain, 87293827."

The Commandant knocked on the door, to reveal the same Sergeant. He slowly put his hand out, as if to receive something. He handed him a small rectangular device, which looked a bit like a prototype handheld tazer. You gotta be kidding me. Anthony started chuckling, "Well Jaefeus, believe me, the Taliban use much bigger stuff than that. You have no idea what you are dealing with here. You will be doing your world a big favour, by releasing me right now."

The statement confused Balleto. "Who are these, Taliban?"

"Oh, you not seen 'em? Towels on their head? Assault rifles and rockets? Maybe we should ship some here so you can be this worlds Soviet Russia." Again, he was confused, "And what happened to Soviet Russia?" Looking Jaefeus in the eye, he simply went "Got their asses kicked."

Unholstering his pistol, the Commandant pistol whipped him, making blood splatter from his left cheek onto the floor. "Blasphemy," and with that, he left.

Lieutenant LaHaye looked around nervously. Major Craig had been talking to the village leader for a good forty five minutes. There had been a few shouting matches between the two men but for the past ten minutes they both had been speaking in a more or less civilized manner. Matthew resisted the urge to bounce on his heels. He wasn't a diplomat and patience wasn't a strong suit of his either. How much longer could this last?!

David Craig

David stared Korban down. The other man hadn't liked the suggestion at first and the threat of sending an armed assault team in hadn't warmed the man up either. Korban had even threatened war should people from the SGC enter the village in a threatening manner.

Finally however Korban agreed to let Lowrey leave the planet on the condition that neither he nor anyone else from Earth ever step foot on the planet again. David agreed to the terms before returning to Matthew's side. He didn't shake Korban's hand having a feeling that the other man would rather break his hand than shake it. It was clear that Korban hated to be threatened but he also didn't want many lives lost for just one man.

"They've agreed to let him go. Korban's sent word to release him immediately. He's also ordered his troops to 'escort' us all back to the Stargate." David told Matthew.

All he could see was black. He was pretty sure he wasn't blind. Well, at least he hoped he wasn't. It felt like a black sack had been placed over his head, but he couldn't really feel it over the excruciating pain that was running through his veins.

The sack was yanked off his head, and sun rays burst through the gaps between his eyelids. He was pushed away from the police station, and he saw his fellow team members. Noticing Major Craig, he gave him a nod, a smile and muttered "Thank you Major..." Looking around, he couldn't see Sam anywhere. His eyes widened and he started panicking. Did I get her killed?!

"Major... Where's Dr. Ford?!"

David gave Matthew a look which Matthew clearly understood because he took Lowrey's right arm while David took Lowrey's left arm and together the two men helped Anthony towards the path that would take them out of the village and towards the Stargate. "Dr. Ford is alright. I sent the rest of my team to get her and take her a quarter mile out of the city. We will meet back up with them on the way towards the Stargate. SG-2 should already be back there; along with General Mjolnir." David replied.

Sara Cafferey

Sara opened her eyes and took a look around the dimly lit room. There were two other beds with two other ladies on it but none of the other two ladies were Emily, Dolly or Audie. It was then that Sara noticed that not only she but the other two woman were completely naked, thankfully they each had a single, thin white sheet that was covering them from their torso to their legs.

Sara eyed the four see through lines that connected four IV bags to her arms. One of them was an easy guess; some sort of fluid to keep her hydrated but the green and red liquid that was being pumped in to her... she didn't even want to guess what it was.

She was still very tired and numb all over. Whatever the doctors had given her had done a good job of knocking her out. To the left, a door opened flooding the room with light as two gentlemen in white lab coats entered. Once the door had shut behind them they went over to the right side of the room, checking the first lady's vitals before marking something on a chart. Then he went to the next lady and did the same thing.

When he came to Sara he was a little surprised to see her awake. He told the other man to 'increase the dosage' which he apparently did because he took a needle and shot something in to the IV line. Almost immediately Sara could feel the urge to go back to sleep getting stronger. ~Aw hell no! I've got to get out of here!~ She thought to herself.

Emily slowly came to, she hadn't even remembered loosing consciousness, she wasn't sure if she had been zatted, or drugged, or something else, but she found herself now in a bed, in what looked like a hospital room. She was strapped down and had half a dozen or more IVs hooked up to both arms. She felt tired, and sluggish, but could feel her heart racing, probably some sort of drug cocktail they had her on.

She tried to move but it was futile. She turned her head to the side slightly and could make out monitors and various medical equipment, the room was dark, and the small halo of light given off by the single lamp over here dissipated about a meter from the bed. She hoped the rest of the team was alright, she hoped the escaped or at least weren't being forced to go through what she had.

Her eyelids felt heavy and with minutes she had passed out again.

David, Anthony and Matthew met up with SG-4 and Dr. Ford twenty minutes after leaving the village; right where SG-4 said it would be. However David noticed someone was missing. "Anyone seen Jackson?" He questioned. There was no time for any kind of reply as the muffled sound of gunfire somewhere up ahead was heard. "Frak, not again!" David muttered, hand going to his weapon as he ran up ahead.

Around the bend in the path he came upon a sight the he hoped he wouldn't see. There, laying in the dirt was not only Lieutenant Jackson but Lieutenant Halliwell as well; both having at least six bullet holes in their chests. ~Frak Frak Frak! Tell me this isn't happening!~ David thought to himself as he quickly went over to the two officers, bending down to check for a pulse on both of them.

He felt around first on Jackson's neck then Halliwell's...nothing. David had a hard time believing that anyone from the village could have shot them but then again...they really didn't leave on the best of terms. Hearing SG-4 coming up behind, David stood up straight and turned to them, giving a slight shake of his head. "They didn't make it." He told them, glancing at Dr. Ford as he spoke.

Knowing they just couldn't leave them there, David instructed Troy and Rehnold to take Halliwell's body while he and LaHaye took Jackson's body. Toggling his radio, David changed the channel to SG-2's channel. =^= Dial the gate, we'll be there momentarily. Let them know we have Lowrey... and we have causalities. =^= David said.

Asid glanced towards the gate, nodding for one of his team to dial, as he turned away. =^= Copy that. We'll have that gate open. Need covering fire? =^= He turned away, towards the direction the teams would be coming from as he raised his rifle. As the gate dialed behind him, he thumbed the radio again, waiting 'till the gate was dialed. =^= SGC, this is Mjolnir, we are going to need a medical team on standby, and bodybags. Transmitting IDC...=^= He thumbed it in, =^= Now. =^=

David Eddings

David watched as the gate dialed up, eyes taking in the swirling vortex. As the gate finished it's cycle, and the iris cycled into place, he glanced at the screen, before listening as the speakers piped in Asid's voice. "SGC, this is Mjolnir, we are going to need a medical team on standby, and bodybags. Transmitting IDC..." There was a brief pause, followed by "Now."

"Unlock the iris." David called out, as he slapped the alert button.

"Perhaps there was only a few of them. Plan to come back to kill us. If we carefully follow the tracks, perhaps we could find them. Or at least set up an ambush. Even if we can't stop this... Horrific butchery, we need to at least save the girls."

Nolan nodded.
"Then we need to head out. I see footprints--"

"Bloody animals. Major, is it possible one of us was waking up too early in order for them to do this? And should we go find our missing teammates...? So, anyone got an idea which way to go? 'Cuz I think we should hurry."

"Yes," Nolan sighed in agreement, gesturing them all along... assuming that they all went, he headed towards a large fort that was clumped and camouflaged among the trees, where ivy and plants were stuffed between large wooden poles cut and fitted with bark to hide it...

Which was currently on fire.
"The hell...?" Nolan blinked, stepping towards the open gates.

Dolly Kenton
A Few Minutes Earlier

"All right, lead on."

Dolly slipped through several quarters of increasingly ancient-looking hallways. As she peered into one of the rooms, they'd hear soldiers laughing and barking at one another. In the barracks.

"Idiots... nobody sounded the alarm," She muttered. Grabbing a torch, she tossed it into the room, letting the wooden foundations of the fort begin to be consumed by fire. "Audie," She murmured, gesturing towards the end of the hallway to a computer room, where a man in a dirty brown jacket was working with the computers--a medieval lab worker.

Without a sound, she zatted him twice as the fort shook, parts of the ceiling beginning to collapse in other rooms as the fire began to spread. Dolly ran to her, pulling off IVs and other equipment, grabbing Emily's chin.

"Em?" She asked, softly. "Emily?" She slapped her face.... nothing. Dolly cursed under her breath, handing Audie the ZAT. She grunted, pulling Emily over her shoulders as she began to jog, her entire body pained by the weight, and by her ZAT-enduced head fog that made her a bit dizzy.

Then her eyes flicked to Sara. "Audie, I need you to grab Sara--now! Forget the weapon, everyone's going to be trying to escape--" CRUUNCH "--That's a room collapsing... ours probably isn't far behind!" She jogged out--under the assumption that Audie was behind.

Smoke was beginning to gather around the halls as they'd climb up large stone staircases, up to the simple wooden fort built around the ruins; far beyond the capabilities of these simple folk now running for their lives.

Nolan Etearna
Present

"Corporal?" Nolan roared, guards beginning to flank the girl. Nolan jogged forwards, his fist striking out for eachs' jugular... which likely ruptured as he slammed his well-timed fist into each throat.

With the Major otherwise busy, Sam decided to help Anthony. Putting her arm around him, she helped him up the hill. “So what happened to right behind me?” She asked with a smile. Although they had a couple of deaths on their hands, Sam was glad to see Anthony again.

"I saw your pack and tried getting it... At least you got out safe..." Smiling, as they started getting closer to the gate.

“Your safety is more important, there is nothing in my pack that can’t be replaced.” She said as she adjusted her stance. “You on the other hand aren’t so easily replaced.” Sam added with a slight chuckle.

"Plenty more Captains in the sea. SGC seems packed of them. Me, Eastlyn, Cafferey, Troy..." His mind started wandering, but the sharp pains brought him back to reality. "You're not hurt are you?"

“I thought you were in the Army, not the Navy.” She smiled to him. “I’ve got a few scratches, but nothing that won’t go away. Soon as we get back, I want you in the infirmary.” Ford Told him in a commanding tone.

"Yes ma'am." He said in a joking tone, and raised his left arm in a mocking salute. "I'm lucky..." he softly murmured as he glanced at the bodies of two new FNGs. Two lieutenants with very similar personalities, both dead.

Sam smile left her. The sudden reality of it all hit her. “The dead can wait, the living can’t.” She knew that statement might sound harsh, but it was the truth. She remembered what one of her teacher told her. “There are two rules to being a Doctor. First rule is you can’t fix dead. The second rule, Doctors can’t change the first rule.”

Sam began to think of all the people who had been lost over the years. “Is this all worth it?” She said in a sombre tone. “You know, gallivanting around the galaxy.” She asked.

"Well, wouldn't be the first time Earths pissed off the universe, but we sign up for this, we get paid to do this, and to be honest, I get a kick out of danger sometimes. We know what we are signing up for."

“Yeah, you go run into danger and I fix you up again.” Ford said, forcing a smile. “Look there’s the gate.” She called. Everyone had probably seen it, but the thought of home warmed her and wanted to make it known. As they got to the gate, Sam stopped a moment before stepping forward.

Once back in the gate room, she spotted the gurney at the end of the ramp. “Get your ass on there.” She said to Lowrey. A medic started checking her over. “I’m fine.” She said angrily, swotting the medic’s hand away.

"It’s an arm and some deep cuts, not a broken leg." Waving off the gurney-carriers, and walking though the doorway on the way to the infirmary, he shouted behind him, "you coming?"

“In a moment.” She called to him. She watched to make sure everyone was through before following. Going to a little trot, she caught up with Anthony. “I think you are going to need stitches mister.” She told him, tapping his good shoulder.

"A few." He burst out to laughter, "Still up for Friday?"

“Is the Pope Catholic? Oh course I am, provided I let you out the infirmary.” She chuckled.

"Which you will! I’m not going to a place with cuts and bruises on my face and a sling for my arm." he said as he joined her laughing as they neared the infirmary.

Asid stepped through the gate, on the heels of SG's two and four. He paused, letting out a breath he hadn't known he'd been holding, as he glanced around the gate room, listening to the sharp 'pop' of the air rushing in as the gate shut down. He paused, glancing his team over. "SG four, everyone alright?" He asked, glancing towards the doorway where the two SG-2 members were being taken away.

David Eddings

David paused, glancing over the teams. "SG's two and four, report to the briefing room." He glanced at Doctor Ford and Anthony, as they stepped out. "You two, after you're all patched up, Captain, Doctor." He smiled, slightly, a smile that didn't reach his eyes, considering the two troopers being loaded into body-bags. ~Poor, unlucky souls.~ He thought to himself, as he turned, stepping from the control room to the stairs in the hall leading up to the next floor, and from there, through the hallway, to the briefing room.

Home... they were now back home. The trip to the gate; after finding Halliwell and Jackson, was uneventful. After stepping through the Gate and entering the Gate Room, David and Matthew turned Jackson's body over to the medics.

"SG four, everyone alright?"

David ignored this for a time. He watched the doctors place first James Jackson and then Emily Halliwell's bodies in to body bags. It was hard to lose someone under his command; David hadn't gotten used to the sick feeling he always got when that happened.

"Yes... we are all fine." He replied.

"SG's two and four, report to the briefing room."

Right; back to work! Getting his emotions back in to check, David nodded his head towards the General before heading for the briefing room.

Audie took the ZAT from Dolly, watching the door for trouble. Smoke was starting to roll along the ceiling, and she hoped that they would have time to find the exit, much the less make it out. Coughing, she bent over as a wave of nausea and abdominal pain hit her, but she managed to fight her way through it.

Then her eyes flicked to Sara. "Audie, I need you to grab Sara--now! Forget the weapon, everyone's going to be trying to escape--"

"What..?" And then she spotted Sara as well and dropped the ZAT, rushing to the woman's side. At least the were all accounted for. "Sara? Ma'am..?" She shook her as roughly as she dared, but there was little response.

CRUUNCH

"--That's a room collapsing... ours probably isn't far behind!" She jogged out--under the assumption that Audie was behind.

Nodding, Audie took a deep breath, then scooped Sara onto her shoulder, fighting to keep her legs under her. Normally, there wouldn't be a problem, but something was wrong, something she couldn't worry about just now.

Smoke was beginning to gather around the halls as they'd climb up large stone staircases, up to the simple wooden fort built around the ruins; far beyond the capabilities of these simple folk now running for their lives.

At this point, no one seemed to notice them, which was certainly a godsend, and they were swept up in the charge of people leaving. At least they wouldn't need to worry about where to go... they just had to let the flow of the crowd carry them.

"Now what?" she shouted to Dolly, knowing that eventually they were going to be recognized. They would have to split from the others. "Any idea which way..?" What? The men were? Safety was? The gate was..?

=^= Okay guys listen up. Troy, Jackson, Rehnold... meet up with the Doctor and take her a quarter mile from the village. If LaHaye and I are able to free Lowrey then he's going to need a medic close at hand. Keep a close eye on her and yourself; don't need you guys getting captured too. =^=

William still wasn't fully sure what was going on, but he knew enough to understand the locals no longer considered the SG teams to be friendly. Linking up with the other SG members, William cautiously made his way out of the city to the prearranged rendezvous point.

A little while later the rest of the SG members arrived and it seemed they would be able to salvage the mission. The telltale sound of gunfire soon shattered that idea. Following Major Craig, SG-4 soon noticed the bodies laying on the ground. As they were present, the grim task of carrying their fallen comrades lay to William and the rest of SG-4.

Upon stepping through the gate, William surrendered control of the body to the medics who placed it in a body bag. He then headed towards the briefing room with the rest of his team.
