Chicago Eastlyn - October 17, 2012 01:27 PM (GMT) -on-

-Gate Room-

Watching people step through the shimmering event horizon, Chicago turned to Anthony, who had shown up and stood next to her, to get orders. Noticing the look on his face, she frowned slightly, "What is it?" "Something's come up Roo, SG-3 is yours this mission." Chicago looked at him in disbelief. "You're kidding..right? I-I..I'm only just back!" She stammered, mild panic setting in. Sure, she'd been deemed fit and healthy for work, and she was confident she could do her job, but this was her first mission in a year and he wanted her to take command? This is not how its meant to be! she thought to herself, It's Lowrey and Eastlyn, the dynamic duo, partners in crime! Not just Eastlyn... It's a symbiotic relationship! either the concern was written all over her face or Anthony knew her too well, because he rested his hands on her shoulders, looked her square in the eyes and said "You'll be fine. It'll be fine." Chicago hesitated a moment before nodding her head "Alright...yeah...okay, it'll be fine...okay. Be here when we get back, yeah?" Offering a small smile she turned back to face the Stargate and called over to Robert as she walked up the ramp towards the giant metal ring, "McField, with me."

Coming through the other side of the Stargate, the Captain keyed her radio, =^=Sierra Golf Three Two to all other teams, please be advised Sierra Golf Three One has stayed behind. It's just McField and myself this time 'round. Where do you need us Sierra Golf Four? Over =^=

Samantha Lowrey - October 18, 2012 12:59 AM (GMT)

Dr Samantha Lowrey ----

Sam listened to the chatter in the gateroom, not really paying attention to anyone in particular. When Tom gave his speech, she was a little surprised. With no McCallister, it was a certain that Ant had command of this mission, so why wasn't he giving the speech. She shrugged it off as nothing more than he trusted Tom's judgement and let him go with it. With the gate active, she watched as SG-4 went through the gate. Taking a few steps towards the ramp, she prepared to go through. As the all clear came she began to go up the ramp. "SG-2 on me." Arriving on the other side, she turned to Coburn. "Have the team join SG-4 in the defensive positions until I can determine if the atmosphere is safe." With that, she began her scans. Suddenly she heard Eastlyn over the radio.

=^=Sierra Golf Three Two to all other teams, please be advised Sierra Golf Three One has stayed behind. It's just McField and myself this time 'round. Where do you need us Sierra Golf Four? Over =^= Turning straight back towards the gate, she looked round to see she was right. She was about to ask why, but her scanner began to beep. Seeing Tom move towards the gate, she wasn't sure of the purpose but assumed it had something to do with Anthony not being there. Looking, she wasn't sure what she was looking at. =/\= Initial scans claim it's safe, but I'm picking something up. Suggest we remain here for a moment why I try to identify it.=/\= She called into her radio.

Maj Thomas Smith ----

Tom continued to monitor their surrounding as the others joined them. =^=Sierra Golf Four-two to Sierra Gold Four-One, place looks clear. Have the egg heads scan the air for any toxins. How copy, over?=^= Tom smirked before responding. =/\= Understood Sierra Golf Four-Two, but don't let Sierra Golf Two-One hear you say that, over =/\=. Moving his hand away from his radio, he heard a rustling of leaves close by. Turning, he saw Yui from SG-2, who simply nodded to him. At least he thought that's what she did. It's hard to tell in the HAZMAT gear.

=^=Sierra Golf Three Two to all other teams, please be advised Sierra Golf Three One has stayed behind. It's just McField and myself this time 'round. Where do you need us Sierra Golf Four? Over =^= Tom was highly surprised at this. Ant didn't usually do something like this. "I know I wanted to prove myself as a leader, but I wasn't thinking like this buddy" He thought to himself as he turned towards Yui. He motioned for her to take his place and watch that area. Standing, he headed towards Eastlyn, at least he thought it was. Once again, hard to tell with the HAZMAT. Seeing the patch and the fact she was female, he had got it right. "Did Colonel Lowrey explain his absence from the mission?" He muffledly asked. With Anthony and Jason not there, he had military control of the mission. Given that the only other team leader was a civilian, one who he believed would take his commands, he fell on him. Before Eastlyn could respondearing said civilian, AKA Sam, he responded. =/\= Understood Sierra Golf Two-One, do as many scans you need to. =/\=. He then focused on Eastlyn again. He wasn't angry, he just wanted answers.

Stephanie McMillan - October 18, 2012 06:07 AM (GMT) ON

Stephanie glanced around, and since the others were crossing the event horizon, it seemed approrpiate that it was SG-1's turn, and so, for the first time that didn't involve some device and outside of training, the CIA paramilitary stepped through the gate and onto the new world. She caught what Eastlyn had said, and stepped over to the remaining members of SG-3.

"Well, since it's only me and Audie for SG-1, maybe you and McField can form up with us so we'll at least have three whole teams and not two halves? Just a suggestion." Stephanie offered, since she had no other idea or duty right now, though being on a foreign world, her hands involunatrily gripped her ACR just a bit tighter.

William Siegfried - October 18, 2012 09:37 PM (GMT) -ON-

William continued to scan the forest keeping his eyes peeled for any signs of life, even animals could prove to be extremely dangerous to the mission; one never knew what a new world held. Suddenly he heard a reply from Smith over his comms, forcing a grin to grow across his gas mask covered face, before he replied. =^=Solid copy Sierra Golf Four-One. Thanks for the warning good buddy. Over.=^= William replied chuckling slightly before he shook his head as he continued to scan the forest. Just then he heard Roo over the comms letting everyone know Lowrey wouldn't be showing up to take part in the mission. William looked slightly shocked for a moment. Smiling he keyed his mike, =^=Congrats on First mission command Sierra Gold Four-One. Sierra Golf Four-Two over and out.=^= William was happy Smith was finally getting the chance to shine. Shortly after looked around this time he moved to a crouching position behind his tree. Sighing softly he wondered if there was really anything here, however he quickly pushed that thought away knowing full well thoughts like that could lead to being caught off guard.

Charles Coburn - October 18, 2012 11:33 PM (GMT) -ON-

From the beggining of the meeting Coburn was like in a dream. He for some reason this day just didnt talked to anyone did absoulute nothing like he was asleep. Through some points he found himself in the briefing room, listening stuff of of which he didnt even remembered and than in the locker room while getting ready and than in the gate room going to another planet.

He had no idea what was the mission about or so and was just wandering around and poking a flower when he heard Sam saying something to him.

"Have the team join SG-4 in the defensive positions until I can determine if the atmosphere is safe."

That waked him a little and he signalled to the Team to fallow him. He cought up with SG-4 and for a reason he hand signalled to Tom that he will be taking position near a big tree. Then he turned to Fick and Yui ordering them to take position near a bush and a rock.

Audie Mjolnir - October 19, 2012 05:35 AM (GMT) ON Through the Gate

Audie glanced at Stephanie, grinning. "I like the idea of combining teams," she commented, "we'd seem more like a team then!" Looking around, she kept in step with Stephanie, then noticed Arthur stumble through at the last minute.

"Hey, Arthur!" she called, waving him over, "you can hook up with us. We're a few members shy of a team!" Then she laughed. "Man, that sounds bad...but appropriate!"

A figure in a HAZMAT suit had moved towards her, and it took her a few moments to realise it was Smith. The suits weren't doing much for visibility that was for sure, and Chicago was hoping they'd get to take the damned things off soon. She shook her head at his question, "I know as much as you do, sir. We were about to walk through the gate, he said "Something's come up, I'm staying here", and that was it. No explanation, no "sorry for throwing you in the deep end on your first mission back", no nothing. I'm kicking his ass when we get back, I'll give you the tip." Realising she'd started ranting a little, Chicago remembered to take a breathe and just relax. It was stupid to get mad at Anthony for not coming on the mission. He has a good reason...right?

When Steph and Audie suggested merging teams for the mission, she had to admit it sounded like a good idea, from a strategic point of view, and they wouldn't have to merge completely...she would still have command of Robert, but they'd just work as a unit with Audie and Steph. "Yeah sure, many hands make light work and all that jazz"

Maj Thomas Smith ----

^=Congrats on First mission command Sierra Gold Four-One. Sierra Golf Four-Two over and out.=^= Tom ignored Will's comment. Not because he was angry, more because he wanted to hear what Eastlyn was going to say. "I know as much as you do, sir. We were about to walk through the gate, he said "Something's come up, I'm staying here", and that was it. No explanation, no "sorry for throwing you in the deep end on your first mission back", no nothing. I'm kicking his ass when we get back, I'll give you the tip." Attempting to facepalm himself, he was greeted with mask. 'You have to get past me first' Tom thought before turning to Sam and clicking his radio. =/\= Sam, can we take these dam things off or not? =/\Edit

Dr Samantha Lowrey ----

Sam continued to scan the atmosphere. She was picking something up but could tell what it was. It didn't seam harmful, but she wanted to be sure. Hearing Smith's call, she paused for a moment to think. Unzipping the hood on her full HAZMAT suit, she turned to face him. "It seams fine, but would recommend keeping masks and gloves close by just encase." She shouted to make sure she was clear.

Moving over to Lyndsay, she got her to help take off her suit. Once out of it, she found her mask and gloves and attached them to her vest. Once she was sorted, she moved over to Coburn. "This might sound like lambs to the slaughter, but I want you up front with Siegfried. Assuming he's sticking on point. If something happens, I'd rather have two sets of eyes up front." Sam semi ordered him. "Oh and try not to die. It will take me ages to break in a new XO" She gave him a wry smile, trying to lighten the mood.

Maj Thomas Smith ----

Hearing the all clear to take off his HAZMAT, he did so. Now that was sorted, he turned to both Eastlyn and McMillan. "Okay, if you two are going to join teams, Eastlyn is in charge, McMillan your XO. Understood?" With that out of the way, he focused on McMillan. "So spook, any idea where we are meant to go? Other than the obvious?" He asked with a little sarcasm as he pointed to the only clear track that led away from the gate.

The CIA agent grinned as she looked at Eastlyn, before staring at Smith with a half smirk.

"I've been here the whole time you have, what makes you think I know more than you do?" Stephanie asked, as she shook her head, "I believe you're on point anyways, Major, sir. So, you know, after you." Stephanie said, stifling a laugh.

"I've been here the whole time you have, what makes you think I know more than you do?" Stephanie asked, as she shook her head, "I believe you're on point anyways, Major, sir. So, you know, after you." Stephanie said, stifling a laugh. Tom raised an eyebrow. "You are with the intelligence department, are you not?" He didn't like going into things blindly, but it seamed he would have to on this occasion. Without giving McMillan chance to respond, he moved to the centre of the teams. "Okay everyone, listen up." He looked around everyone. "I want SG-4 up front. Two in the middle. If we hit trouble, I don't want the doc going first." Normally this wouldn't concern him, but the need for a Doctor may be more required on this mission. "And 1 slash 3 on our six. He now moved over to William. "Will, take us down this path. We still don't know what will be out here, so keep your eyes peeled."

Tapping him on the shoulder and moving to the middle of group once more. "Okay people, lets move out." He called to the group. Watching Siegfried move forward, he noticed he was joined Coburn. Sam had not said anything to him about having Coburn up front. It didn't bother him, but he wanted to be informed. It wouldn't take a genius to notice that Tom was seriously more serious than normal. He wasn't normally left in charge of this many people. It wasn't that he wasn't capable of leading them, it was just he didn't want anything going wrong. As such he would be concentrating on keeping the status Que.

As they moved down the path, he looked at towards his fellow 'guards', Audie and William. He hadn't really discussed their 'other occupation' but wondered if either of them knew what the General was doing and if Anthony was involved. If it was the case, he wondered why neither of them had told him or if they had said anything to either Will or Audie. Slowing down, he allowed the others to pass him. Once he found himself in line with Audie, he moved closer. "Do you know what 'Tarnished Knight' is up to and if 'Maverick' is involved?" he whispered to her after checking no one was too close.

"Major, again, I know as much as you do, that is all. If I had any intel, it would have been given up already. My department placement is entirely moot in this case." Stephanie replied, starting to get annoyed, and said nothing further. As the teams moved out, she shouldered her ACR and made regular sweeps as they moved. The CIA paramilitary kept an impassive expression on her face as she watched the sightlines on the advance, though as she made a sweep, she caught Smith whispering to Audie. She couldn't make out what he was saying, and she continued her sweep as if she hadn't seen anything, already filing that away for later. Part of her wanted to shrug it off as nothing, another part of her was curious, and yet another thought he had something derogatory to say about her to Audie.

That merely earned a quiet "Harumph" under her breath as she continued moving along. People could talk all they wanted, she wasn't going anywhere. It did take a bit of willpower on her part to shove the thought out of her head, since it was a very severe distraction in the field. Instead, she focused anything that crossed her vision that was not nature, extra attention on her periphrials and anything in the center of her ACR's MARS sight.

Any attitude was between her and Asid. "Nah, I stopped asking questions a long time ago. And sometimes things happen to fast for him to let me in on it."

Sighing, she fell in step with the others, staying alert.

Chicago Eastlyn - November 1, 2012 07:55 AM (GMT) -on-

Chicago had gotten over the shock of suddenly being left in charge of SG-3 now, so when Smith announced she was now in command of the merged 1/3 team, she was rather calm about the whole thing. There was really nothing to panic about. The old Chicago wouldn't have panicked, so she was reassured that she was back to normal after the events of the previous year.

She disentangled herself from the HAZMAT suit as soon as the okay was given, not keen to spend any more time than necessary in the thing. She shot a smile at Steph when she came out with the rock, paper, scissors quip. Hearing Smith give out orders to everyone she was quick to get her team in position at the back of their little procession, with herself bringing up the very rear so she could keep an eye on her whole team, but not before kindly asking the reporter who had been kind of tacked into their mish mash group, to please move more towards the centre of the group with Audie, saying to him "That's the safest place for you, in case the crap hits the fan." with a reassuring smile.

Not long after the group set out, Chicago glanced towards the head of the group and saw Smith whispering with Audie in the middle of the teams. Being at the back, and only newly back on the teams, Chicago just files the information away without comment and continued scanning the ground being left behind them with her weapon at the ready, and keeping an eye on her team.

Audie glanced over at Smith and shrugged. "Dunno, I'm just married to him, he doesn't tell me anything." There was a hint of resentment and anger in her tone, but she quickly quelled that. Any attitude was between her and Asid. "Nah, I stopped asking questions a long time ago. And sometimes things happen to fast for him to let me in on it."

Tom just let out a sigh of disappointment. "It's not your fault." Giving her a light tap on the shoulder, he moved away. Quickening his pace he began to move towards his previous position in the group. Looking round, he could see nothing but trees. Although he had been on missions in the past with less information than he had now, he wasn't in charge then. He began to formulate that perhaps the Colonels and the General were testing his leadership qualities. Although Asid clearly trusted him to lead a team, perhaps it was a test to see if he could handle more than a team. He had trained with his team, so knew what they could do, he didn't know some of the others as well.

After making a slight turn in the path, he noticed a small clearing up ahead. Moving further forward, he came between Coburn and Siegfried. "Gents, I want you to go ahead and check out the clearing. Radio back if it's clear." Patting them both on the back, he took half a step back to get out of their way.

William Siegfried - November 5, 2012 04:56 PM (GMT) -ON-

Coburn was walking around without giving a damn to what was going on when Sam catch him up and told "This might sound like lambs to the slaughter, but I want you up front with Siegfried. Assuming he's sticking on point. If something happens, I'd rather have two sets of eyes up front." Sam semi ordered him. "Oh and try not to die. It will take me ages to break in a new XO" She gave him a wry smile, trying to lighten the mood."

He said "Alright" and added "I'll try that" he said with a smile and double timed to catch William on the front.

Once he was there he tapped shoulder of William and said "Hey man, you look alone want company ?" he said with a smile

William remained crouched behind his tree still, not wanting to move or do anything without the go order from Smith, although he knew it wouldn't be long before he'd get the permission to move up alone, but for the most part he was alone and ready for just about anything. No sooner had he pulled his gas mask off he noticed Smith come running up beside him while giving him a warning he was coming up. William smiled and nodded his head. "How you doing Smith?" William greeted before he heard Smith give him the order to move up ahead of the group. It didn't take long for a smile to creep across his face as he patted Smith gently on the shoulder. "Will do boss." And with that he stood up, keeping himself at fire ready stance as he made his way ahead of the other teams, all while keeping his ears and eyes open for anything.

As William moved further through the woods he kept scanning the forest, his C-7's barrel following his eye's with every twist and turn he made. Just then he heard a few branches coming up behind him. William twisted himself around before he took a knee to wait for who ever was coming up on his rear to catch up. No sooner had he took a knee he felt a hand pat him on the shoulder. It was Coburn, XO for SG-2 and from what he remembered, close friend of the Lowrey's. "Pfft, me, lonely? Come on how can I be lonely when I have all this plant life looking at me." William joked, grinning widely, before he stood back up. "But sure I could use the company, can't be to sure what we could run into in these thick woods." William replied as he looked around.

William then turned to Coburn grinning, "Well, guess its time to move out." And with that he started to move up.

Coburn nodded and started to walk with William. While walking he kept the conversation going.

"Yeah i've been poking flowers out of boredom when Sam told me to go front" Coburn said and continued "I think we will find nothing on this planet just a waste of time"

This time he had a feeling that this was really a waste of time, he wanted some action but so far this planet had nothing to give him

William's grin turned to a smile as he listened to Coburn continue with a conversation, though for the most part he was still uneasy with making noise in the woods, but something like this was always a welcoming feeling to help calm his nervs. "Heh, trust when I say this Lieutenant you'll be wanting missions like this all the time after a life time of firefights haha." William replied as he kept up a brisk pace ahead, his rifle now lowered across his gut. "Besides, when you're about to get married you don't want the jobs that force so much worry on you lover... ugh, trust me its never a good sight to see when you get back." William continued as he continued on his way.

Coburn had no idea that William was to get married but that was because they barely knew each other so he said "Well congrats man, i didnt knew" and added "These missions are good enough but you know i like some action and i can imagine the sight" he said with a laugh. Coburn than released his mp5 to his chest for the webbing to hold and putted his arms to its stock while walking still

William chuckled at Coburns reply and congrats for his engagement. "Thanks, though we won't be seeing much of each other for 6 months, she's part of the Polaris mission." William mentioned as he continued on, his smile still firmly across his face. When Coburn added how he agreed with how these quiet missions were good, but action was a little better William mearly shrugged his shoulders. "I guess, but sometimes its best to jus- wait.." William stopped short, bringing both his speech and himself to a stop before bringing his fist up, before waving his hand down ordering the young lieutenant to take a knee along with himself. "I thought I heard something..." William said as he scanned the forest for any signs of life.

Coburn kneeled down looking for any activity but there was nothing going on so far as he saw "I guess it must be sort of a bird or something capt'n" he said. But while he was on the look for something a shiny thing across his eye in a 100 or 150 meters which seemed to be mounted on something like a Wall. "Hey captain, there is something shiny over there wanna check out ?" he said.

William paused for a moment as he continued to scan the forest for anything. As he did he listened to Coburn who reported nothing. "Hmm.. Alright, just thought I heard something?" William said before Coburn pointed out something that got William a bit nervous. He looked at the shin coming from a wall or something for a minute before he slowly moved up behind a tree. Once behind the tree William quickly brought up his rifle and looked through the scope to get a better view. "Wellll~ You were right about it behind a wall Coburn.. though, I'm not seeing any activity over there..." William paused for a moment before continuing, "Wanna radio Smith and the others and let them know we may have found the entrance before we continue to scout out the place." William asked Coburn as he continued to scan the area around the wall. "What the hell did I hear?..." William mumbled softly under his breath.

"Well this might be nothing lets find the enterence and see whats in" and continued "i'll radio Sam that we are getting inside of a what seems to be as building sort of" with that being said he radioed Sam and said =^=Sam, this is Coburn me and William is getting inside of a what seems to be as a building, this is probably nothing but we want to check it out=^= He then turned William and said "I'm going to touch this thing to see if anything happens" and when he tuched something like a small door opened to a small passage. One person at a time would fit to that way. "Shall we go ?" Coburn asked.

William paused looking at Coburn hidding his frown, but didn't say anything as Coburn had already began to radio Samantha letting her know they were about to head to the wall, or building. William stuck on overwatch as Coburn made his way up to the wall, once there William began to make his move, before long he came up beside Coburn. "Lieutenant, relax, we can't go moving as if this place doesn't have some kind of defense or proves to be some kind of a threat. Remember, even the small thing can be the deadliest of weapons." William told the young officer. This wouldn't be the first person he had to tell this to, the last person he told it too ended up getting blown up by an IED in Iran, and right now Will really didn't want to see the same thing happen again to someone he just met.

"Nothing to worry about Captain" Coburn said and continued "This place looks more deserted than the sahara desert i'll take point so if something happens you can patch me up." He said and continued to the way that was infront of him. Altough the Captain sounded logic that there might be traps or something but at this point Coburn was simply ignoring any possibility to get hurt. Once he made up his way through the passage he came across a small hall where seemed to be a sort of a device in the middle of it. "Hey captain check this out" he said and moved closer to the device to touch.

William sighed, [i]"Better not."[i] Before he continued on close behind Coburn who seemed as though he wasn't worried about getting hurt, why he was like that made William seriously want to put recommend the kid for some special forces training, or something along those lines. Soon all thoughts were pushed to the back of William's mind as he stopped to look at a nearby wall with writing on it, or what appeared to be some form of writing. William began to scan the wall for anything he'd seen before, so far he wasn't seeing shit, the usual markings he couldn't understand. Just then he heard Coburn ask him to check something out. William turned to see Coburn move up about to touch something. Will's eyes went wide before he began to sprint towards the man screaming, "Don't touch that!"

Before William cought Coburn it was too late he was already touching the machine which seemed to be doing something on Coburn and when William tried to stop Coburn he was also getting infected. The nanites began to take partly control of the body and slowly they updated the mission info to their heads. Their new mission was to capture and bring all the SG Members to one area in order to protect the machine and further updates to fallow. Coburn tried to resist the nanites of some but they electrocuted him in various painful places. He turned his radio off and looked for William.

William felt a jolt of pain rush through his body as he felt something or somethings quickly begin to enter his body from his arms that tried to push Coburn away but were to late to do anything. William began to grunt in pain as he started to back away, reeling in pain of having so many tiny machines start to give him electric theropy. William tried his hardest to fight the little things, but so far he wasn't doing to hot, his mind began to flood with new orders that overlapped his previous ones. He wasn't liking what was happening to him, so he slowly and painfully began to try and find his zat to put himself out before he did anything he'd regret later.

No sooner had he found it he, or the William everyone liked was gone, now there was only Reaper, who stood to his feet, patting off the dirty from his legs, before turning off his radio. "Coburn! Regroup on me. We have a new objective, and its to capture the Imperial brotherhood soldiers outside, threatening this place." William ordered his voice cold, and serious. The little machines had implented a false memory, making him think his team and the other SG teams were Imperial Brotherhood soldiers scouting out their base. After a quick check, and switching from live rounds to the intar rounds in his C-7 and Barretta 9mm, he began to walk out of the hall but not before setting up a few flash bang traps at the entrance way, and with that he was now on the hunt.
