Sara sat against the back wall, watching as first the Lieutenant Colonel and then the Chief Petty Officer had their blood drawn. When the 'doctor' approached her, Sara sat up a little straighter. She had a thing about needles, especially needles being held by doctors she didn't know; especially doctors on a strange planet! "Hold out your arm please." The man with the needle said. "Or what?" Sara asked. In her peripheral vision she saw one of the zat wielding guards tense at her words. "We can take your blood by force. Trust me when I say that you do not want to fight us on this. It would be very unpleasant for you." The man said.

Sara looked first to the guy with the zat. She didn't really want to get zatted again, but she didn't just want to sit there either. Next she looked at Colonel Jones. Jones was the ranking military officer there and if she herself had let her blood be drawn then...

Sighing, Sara rolled up her sleeve. "Fine." She said through gritted teeth. When she felt the cold, wet wipe touch her arm she looked away, knowing what was coming next and sure enough not five seconds later she felt the sharp pinch of the needle. "Stop tensing up and just relax." The man said. "Yeah... just relax while you have a freakin' needle in my arm!" Sara shot back. The man seemed to smile. Weather he was smiling at the sarcasm or what he was doing, it was hard to tell. Twenty seconds later the man withdrew the needle. "There, all done." He said. After placing the vial of blood in the case he continued on down the line.

SG2 & 4 continued to take their time towards the village, and proceeded to chat along the way. He didn't have much to worry about as long as Asid stayed with the group. Between him and Sam, they had it covered. ~Well this should be an easy task, just a typical recon mission. I love my job.~ Jason thought with a smile, glad that he was starting to get the chance to do his job and explore planets more. "So, newer people of SG-2 and 4, perhaps we could get to know each other a bit while we're out here." He offered politely.

As Chicago walked with SG's 2 & 4 towards the village, she smiled to herself. All the drama she'd been through, all the training, the man hours, it all added up and place her here. And she was so glad to have been able to do this. She smiled again and looked towards her CO when he suggested learning about each other. That sounded like a good idea. "Good plan, sir. Uhmmm. I'm not very interesting, so maybe you should go first?" she suggested.

The smile returned to his face quicker than anticipated, but it was a brief one. "I could challenge that actually, my military history isn't as spectacular as some. Got some pretty basic awards, had a little rough spots in the past, but nothing insane, I'm clean." he shrugs. "I'm from Kenai, Alaska, and Major Sadie Ford is from Alaska too, Anchorage, specifically."

David who was a few steps ahead of SG-2, slowed down a little when he heard the question, followed by Jason's answer. When there was a pause he got the distinct feeling they were waiting on him to speak, but what should he tell them? In fact what could he tell them?

While he was thinking, Lieutenant LaHaye decided to speak up. “As for me I was born in Australia but moved to the US shortly after. After that's there's not much to tell. Went to college, joined the Army then got transferred here.” Matthew said. When Matthew had finished, David finally cleared his throat. “Australia huh? Lucky. My brother and I were born in Oklahoma. That was about the only good part of our lives. I'm not going to go in to any details or anything but mother went a little crazy. What she did ended up causing my brother and I to get enlisted. After that, moved around a lot, played my cards right and ended up at the SGC.” He shrugged his shoulders as if it were nothing.

"We got people from all over the place. Not surprising. Australia... that's certainly different." Jason replied to them. "Oklahoma... don't think I've ever been that far South honestly. Been in Alaska my whole life prior to my military one." he said to Matthew with a light shrug. "Bet it's warm in those two places. Nothing like the cool Alaska weather though."

Jason then noticed as he glanced back at the group that some of them had yet to speak or looked like they wanted to. "What about the rest of you guys? Major?"

Sadie Ford

Sadie just did as instructed, knowing there was no point in fighting back at this point in time. She just rolled her eyes and stuck out an arm. "Might as well get it over with." She muttered to no one in particular. She waited for her turn in the little line that had formed up. She was in between Emily and Audie.

Nolan glanced back at Kurt, who he gave a small nod to. "Captain Atreides, please see if our comrades have any injuries we need to pay immediate attention to. Otherwise, we move out immediately to find the girls."

Dolly Kenton

"Where are the others?"

"I have no idea, I'm just as shocked as you guys. Everyone okay?"

"I'm fine, typical stun induced headache but I'll live. Ok, assuming we weren't out too long we've got about three hours before the SGC will even attempt to make contact for our missed report."

Dolly was just about to speak when, as mentioned before, a group of five--three in lab coats--stepped inside...

"Stay where you are and you will not be harmed. Hold out your arm."

As her CO did as asked, Dolly's eyes widened. She hated needles--she couldn't stand the things. Her mother used to give her blood tests a long while back, when she was still young, to see if she was infected with anything.

Damn IOA.

They moved to Audie who, while her comment would otherwise make Dolly chuckle... now wasn't the time. She was frightened of the needle...

"Hold out your arm please."
"Or what?"
"We can take your blood by force. Trust me when I say that you do not want to fight us on this. It would be very unpleasant for you."

Dolly looked away. She couldn't watch.

"Fine."
"Stop tensing up and just relax."
"Yeah...just relax while you have a freakin' needle in my arm!"
"There, all done."

Not my turn... not my turn...

"You." The scientist growled, kneeling down to the girl who was crouched down against the wall. "Arm out."

Dolly hesitated, then held out her arm. The scientist held the needle just out--before she grabbed his forearm, twisting it so that he roared out. Zats were raised, but Dolly used his weight to pull herself up and hook an arm around his neck.

CRACK...

And his neck was snapped--but not a moment later, a Zat shot blasted into Dolly, sending her flying against the wall and cold onto the ground. Another scientist calmly walked to her, and drew the needed blood.

When Dolly went flying, Sara tensed as she jumped up to her feet. She didn't care where they were or that there were armed guards, no one did that to a team member! Sara watched as one of the guys took the blood sample, but once he was done Sara moved over to Dolly, standing over her protectively. ~If they try to do that one more time I swear to God I'll kill em!~ Sara thought to herself.

Glaring at the guards, Sara knelt down to look Dolly over. From the look of it Dolly was still out. "Alright you got your blood now get away from her!" Sara warned, seeing that the man that had taken Dolly's blood had yet to step away.

The man did seem to consider the matter a little, and he did take a few steps back. Sara didn't relax at all as she watched the man. Thankfully the other was dead but could they afford to be so defiant? All it got them so far was an injured officer.

When Dolly protested, Audie winced, knowing that nothing good could come of it. And then she grabbed the man, killing him rather than trying to use him as a shield...

As soon as the man drawing blood moved away, she moved over to Dolly's side, checking her over as Sara stood guard. She looked up and gave a simple nod that Dolly would live, at least for now. But she had killed, and who knew what that meant for her, and the others?

Sergeant Miller got to his feet, the cell was cold, and it looked like they may be underground. There was some light coming in from a row of narrow high windows. "I'm going to go out on a limb and say there aren't any easy ways out." He stretched his back and cracked his neck as he looked around the cell. "Any idea where the women are?"

Emily was a little shocked at Corporal Kentons reaction. One of the medic types checked the samples and left, nodding to who appeared to be the group leader. They all exited, with one of the guards grabbing the dead man and dragging him out. The door slammed shut and the Colonel exhaled a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. "You know, just once I'd like to go off world and not get attacked, stunned, or kidnapped." She got back to her feet and walked over towards the stunned Corporal. "How is she, Chief?"

"She'll live," Audie replied, "although I suspect she'll regret it for a time." Sighing, she sat against the wall and cradled Dolly's head in her lap. "But...what if they come back to retaliate? You don't think they would really just let something like that go?" They had to be prepared, in case the worst happened. "And what about the others? The men..?" It wasn't a good sign that the weren't there.

Jason then noticed as he glanced back at the group that some of them had yet to speak or looked like they wanted to. "What about the rest of you guys?

"I grew up an Air Force brat so I never had one place to call home, but it did allow me to see more of the world by age 18 then some people see their entire life."

The engineer's tone revealed he wasn't bitter about his upbringing.

"Spent most of my career working on the various aircraft employed by the Air Force before being pulled to serve on the Titan as an engineer. After several years there, I transferred to the SGC. And that brings us to the present. Nothing too exciting, although I did help a little with the F-370 when it was still in the prototype phase."

Jason then noticed as he glanced back at the group that some of them had yet to speak or looked like they wanted to. "What about the rest of you guys?"

James had remained silent since he stepped through the gate, drowning in his own thoughts. He was overwhelmed by excitement, confusion and a sense of danger. What if a bunch of hostiles attacked? Were they ready to defend themselves? After William had finished speaking James snapped out of his thought dungeon and begun speaking.

"Not much to know about me. Your usual know-all science geek who stays inside to study when everyone else is having fun. Got a medical degree, went to the USAF Academy and spent some time in McMurdo before being transferred here."

After saying those he silently whispered to himself... "And I am a massive trekkie..."

"Captain Smith, it's an honour to get to work with you once more." Tom heard from behind him. He spun round to see Sara whom he had worked with on SG-2. It was a shock to him. He thought she was still with SG-2, but clearly not.
He was about to respond, but Nolan responded first.
"Yes, Captain," Nolan nodded. "I wasn't really aware I had a new transfer, but welcome to the team. Sergeant Miller and Corporal Dolly Kenton are your teammates, and I expect you to treat them with the same--"

Tom was hit in the back with the Zat. He fell face first into the dirt. As he woke he could hear his CO’s voice. He lifted his head slightly and spat out the dirt before rolling over. “I’m okay… I think” He called as he started patting himself down. “Well, no blood” He quietly said to himself. He slowly eased himself into a sitting position. He looked round but couldn’t see Sara. Then in dawned on him that there were no females there. “Wait a minute, we missing a few people?” He asked. Tom knew it was clearly an obvious question, but felt it needed to be asked.

Samantha Ford

Sam quietly listened to the others. She felt it was a bit harsh of a conversation topic, given the General’s condition. She wasn’t going to give her story, but when she heard Rehnold mention he had a Medical degree, a spark flew in her head. “A Medical Degree you say? Then how come I’ve not seen in the infirmary that much?” She asked him.

She let him respond before regaling her past. “Well I was brought up in a political environment. My father worked for an ambassador, so little miss here couldn’t be rebellious.” She started, ending with a cheeky smile. “Soon as I was old enough, I headed back to the UK and got my MBBS, did the normal hospital run before getting assigned to the Iron Duke, spent some time on Atlantis, Iron Duke for a bit then here.” She finished.

It wasn’t exciting but it would stop them asking. She then thought was Asid was going to do. She moved closer to him and whispered into his ear. “Look if you don’t want to say anything, you don’t have to.” She moved away slightly, but darted back. “And if all else fails, pull rank.” She added with a little giggle.

"She'll live, although I suspect she'll regret it for a time. But... what if they come back to retaliate? You don't think they would really just let something like that go? And what about the others? The men..?"

Emily thought for a moment, "I don't think they'll retaliate, they barely batted an eye, they want something from us, thats the only reason to keep us alive and take blood. They could be looking to isolated the ATA gene but that seems a bit unlikely. Chief I want you to take care of Dolly, try to get her conscious. Ford your in charge, I'm going to try to talk to our captures and see what I can find out." She said before beginning to pound on the door.

After the better part of a minute it opened and a pair of guards stood zats raised at her. "I want to speak to your leader." She said, forcefully but in an even tone. One of the guards looked to down the whole before nodding the second guard grabbed her arm and lead her out of the cell.

Captors

"We've run the blood samples of the new patients. Four are viable to begin treatment. One is already ovulating and could be ready for immediate implantation. The fifth appears to already be pregnant. I recommend we limit treatment to growth therapy, terminating the existing embryo would be more timely and genetically they are similar that the offspring could be integrated into our society. They all appear to be fertile and healthy and should remain viable for many breading cycles." The man finished his report to his superior before putting the small pad back into the pocket of his lab coat.

The man he was talking to looked up from his computer. "Good, we've lost another three breeders this morning. Two bleed out during delivery and the third suffered an ovarian rupture and was terminated." There was a knock at the door and the man behind the desk stood, "That is all Marrem, get to work."

The other man nodded and turned to leave. As he left the room the guard stepped in with the second guard and Colonel Jones in toe. She'd been memorizing as much of the layout as possible. They seemed to be in the center of a large facility or possibly underground, there were no obvious exits marked which would make escape tricky.

"Administer Solrick she demanded to speak with you." The senior guard said.

The man behind the desk approached and stood mere centimeters from Jones, "Unusually dark skin pigmentation, strong bone structure, you'll add valuable genetic variation to our population."

It didn't take Emily long to put together what he was talking about, and she felt her stomach drop. "I'm a Lieutenant Colonel Emily Jones, of–" It was all she got out before Solrick backhanded her. She wasn't expecting it and would have likely fallen to the ground if the guard wasn't still holding her.

"You have no name, no rank, you are a breeder and will serve to grow our population." Solrick said, turning to the guard "She's the one who is already ovulating, take her to fertilization, we'll be ready for the others this afternoon."

It had taken the SG teams a little longer than expected but finally they found themselves at a quaint little city. Those just within the city gates wore apparel similar to the early Athosian wear with a slightly Earth style WWII feel to it.

"Okay these people seem friendly enough... so far. Least they haven't drawn any weapons." David said, giving the rest of the team a look. Looking down the path they had just come up, David saw SG-2 and the General a little ways off. Tapping his radio, David opened a channel to Jason. =^= McCallister, we've arrived at the city...village whatever you want to call it. So far the inhabitants seem friendly enough... =^= Seeing movement out of the corner of his eye David turned to see what he guessed was the leader of the little community, given the dark red and black shirt he wore and the small fact that he had some armed guards with him. =^= Hold that thought. =^= David said into his still open channel.

The man seemed to look SG-4 over before he asked, "Welcome. Which one of you is the leader?" ~Straight down to business... alright.~ David thought to himself. The man's question was difficult to answer. They had several 'leaders' but their one actual leader was General Mjolnir but his memory wasn't all there!

"That depends on who's asking." David replied. The man didn't seem all that keen on David's response but he said, "I am Korban, the leader of this village." "Korban... nice to meet you. I'm David, that's William, James and... James," David said, pointing at first James Jackson and then James Rehnold, "and Matthew."

David was reluctant to say their full names, having a feeling that the less this Korban knew about them, the better. "And you are their leader?" Korban asked. "Theirs?" David asked, gesturing to the rest of SG-4, "yes. More of my friends should be arriving here shortly."

Kurt Atreides

Kurt had done as instructed; check the others to see if they were severely injured. Bumps, bruises and a few sprains; thankfully nothing was broken. Making his way back to Nolan, Kurt said "Sir, no one sustained any major injuries. I also did a head count, we are missing five people; all female. The rest of SG-1 and two from SG-3."

He was pretty sure that everyone knew the woman had been taken but now they knew how many.

Sara Cafferey

With Jones gone, their numbers were down to four, with one unconscious! Folding her arms, Sara who was still by Dolly and Audie's side, looked up at the resident medic. "How are you holding up, Audie?" Sara asked.

“A Medical Degree you say? Then how come I've not seen you in the infirmary that much?”

James turned his head to Sam and chuckled before answering. "I was just assigned to the SGC, haven't been in SG4 for more than a few hours. Hold on, got to catch up with my team." He then picked up the pace to catch up with SG-4 and stuck with them until they reached the village. After they arrived, he kept staring at the buildings in front of him, not sure whether to call it a miracle of engineering or a pile of randomly placed material.

"Welcome. Which one of you is the leader?"

James was startled by the man and his guards, although he didn't show it. As soon as David introduced him, even if this was by his first name, he nodded politely.

"I'm all right." Audie sighed, leaning back, her head resting on the wall as she closed her eyes, feeling tears welling in them. There was so much going on with her, and her strength, Asid, wasn't there for support.

Sighing, she shook her head. "What do you think they want?"
