Sykes was pacing back and forth between the cockpit and the rear compartment, waiting for the Tria to come and pick him up. Every time he walked towards the cockpit, his eyes would stare at the sensor display, watching both the Imperial task force, and any indication of the Tria. After what seemed like forever, when only mere minutes went by, the sensor display began warning him of a new contact.

Sykes hurried over and let out a huge sigh of relief when it was the Tria. His comm system warned him of a message, then heard that he was ordered to board the Tria immediately. Sykes didn't hesitate to sit down, grab the controls and located the Tria's hangar bay, flying the jumper towards it and going inside after the doors were open wide enough.

Sykes landed the jumper next to a few others and powered it down, making sure that the hangar bay was still pressurized before opening the rear hatch and stepping out of the jumper.

Sykes then hurried over to someone who was talking towards his jumper. "Where is the Colonel?"

"Normally during this time he is on the Bridge."

"I don't know this ship well enough, can you take me there? I need to talk to him, now!"

"Right this way." The man seeing how important Sykes wanted to talk to the Colonel, started jogging out of the hangar bay, Sykes jogging right behind him.

USS Tria
Deck 01 - Bridge

Once Sykes was on the Bridge, he thanked the man that helped him, then he took a look at the forward viewer, seeing that they were in hyperspace. Sykes then found the Colonel in the center chair, he really didn't have to look long, though he sure would feel like an idiot if he searched the entire Bridge rather than the center chair first.

Sykes stepped up to the Colonel. "First Lieutenant David Sykes." He knew he was going to be asked to report on the Sovereign's situation, so David went ahead without the Colonel asking. "Sir, the Sovereign is gone, she was attacked by an Imperial task force, she would of called for your assistance but then we, me and my buddies, were hearing multiple explosions from within the ship. We found out that the Subspace Capacitor was destroyed and the Main Asgard Power Core was offline. It didn't take long for the Imperial task force to take out her shields.

"We were then told that the Sovereign was running, heading towards some Asgard station, she was outrunning the Imperial task force for just a moment before power was becoming a serious issue. One of the ships was able to keep up with the Sovereign, sir. In fact, the Imperial task force had ten ships, not nine, but the tenth ship that was with Sovereign... well... I don't know. Both the Sovereign and the Oblivion warship that was attacking her, they... the closer they got to the Asgard station, they just disappeared.

"I assumed that the Sovereign was destroyed, and that the destruction took the Oblivion out with her. But sensors didn't indicate any kind of explosion, or radiation residue, plus soon after the Sovereign and the Oblivion warship disappeared, the Imperial task force broke off pursuit. More over, they didn't hesitate to move away from the Asgard station, as if they saw something they didn't lates Navyike.

"The Colonel... he ordered me to leave the ship and try to contact you, to assist the Sovereign but... she's gone, sir." David finished his report, looking rather grim as he realized he may never see his buddies again.

=^= Maruki to King, do you have the ability to scan that ship... enough to find out the status of lifeforms? =^=

=^= King to Maruki, I will have my birds take a look at the ship and see what we can get if you would like I am sure we could open her up, so you can get a team into the ship. I think that we have put enough of their fighters out of the sky. =^=

Sarah started to run a sensor sweep of the ship and to check for lifesigns and sent them to the Sov.

"Give me a SitRep have your flock made there drop off?" Sarah asked.

"Yes, they are on route back to the barn." Rachel asked as her and the F-302s got into defensive formation to cover them. The enemy fighters had been dealt with and there was not much else really to do.

"The Colonel... he ordered me to leave the ship and try to contact you, to assist the Sovereign but... she's gone, sir."

"Thank you for that report Lieutenant, we have a long trip home to Earth so get some rest. We did not detect any remains of the ship, so until we find remains of the ship we are not going to give up hope Lieutenant." Steven said trying to keep the Lieutenant upbeat. The Sovereign had seemed to just disappear. They could not investigate further since the Brotherhood Fleet was still in the area.

"Excuse me sir, if you need a team to board the Oblivion and retrieve any necessary supplies and equipment, ODA 2525 is geared up and ready to role. We only need a shopping list, Sir." He said with confidence to the Colonel.

Alem glanced at Powers and nodded. "I'll find out what Engineering needs, Chief," he said, "go ahead and get your team together in the shuttle bay." Once they had some intel, he'd send a team over, maybe with Tools as well.

=^= King to Maruki, I will have my birds take a look at the ship and see what we can get if you would like I am sure we could open her up, so you can get a team into the ship. I think that we have put enough of their fighters out of the sky. =^=

=^= Thank you, Commander... and when you have time, I'll need a shuttle pilot that's willing to take the risk of running a salvage crew over there. =^= Alem looked around the Bridge a shook his head. The place as a mess, but at least so far they hadn't lost anyone.

He started to pick up debris and pile it to one side as he waited for Tools and the updates from the fighters.

"You know who's fixing this mess, right?" Tools asked as he stepped up behind Maruki, "It'll be me and my boys."

He gently put his hand on Alem's shoulder, "But I can fix this." He tried to stay positive. "As to what I need... Naquadah, generators, anything we can salvage, we should, we never know when we could use it, but either way, I'm going with Powers." It wasn't as much a suggestion as a statement.

=^= Thank you, Commander... and when you have time, I'll need a shuttle pilot that's willing to take the risk of running a salvage crew over there. =^=

=^=Colonel it's not a problem I will have Battleaxe return to the ship and run a team over to the ship and I will ride heard over the shuttle.=^=

=^=Lieutenant get on deck and get a shuttle ready to launch and bring over a team to the enemy ship. I will be joining you on deck to rearm and refuel my bird and I will be riding herd over you to make sure nothing happens to you or team. =^=

Sarah started to head for the ship, so she could get a count on her birds but also for the flight deck crew could get her bird ready for the next part of the mission.

She also sent word to her deck crews to get ready to rearm all the fighters and have a shuttle and all bombers on stand by for launch just in case.

"You know who's fixing this mess, right?" Tools asked as he stepped up behind Maruki, "It'll be me and my boys."

"Of course," Alem grinned, "and you'll do a fine job, no doubt. You just need the pieces, right?"

"Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way. You know what you need and how to get it." He nodded. "Just... don't get killed. I'll send medics with you, just in case, and they can look to salvage whatever they can from the medbay." Of course, if it was safe to go over to the Oblivion.

"Let them meet us in combat gear down at the hangar." Tools said and turned around, clicking his radio. "Tools to Scott, what's your location?"

"Deck 5, heading to the team room, you coming along on this jaunt Major?" Scott asked, slipping his helmet over his head so he could have a proper conversation with the Major.

"Of course I am." Tools commented as he jogged down the decks. A minute or two later he arrived at the team room.

cott chuckled at the comment, 'of course he is!' He said to himself as he slipped the helmet off his head and walked the last few feet into the team room. The 18 other members of the team looked up at him as he entered, like expectant puppies.

"Before any of you ask, yes the rumor mill is true this time. We have a field trip to go on..." He said pausing his lungs still recovering from the bad air in the engineering compartment, "Major Apcaz will be coming along, were getting any goodies we can from the ship that will keep this one running, other than that, defer to the Major he has more answers. Get your gear back on and arm up, everything, weapons, ammo, armor, water, food, NODS, the works, MOVE!"

With the team in gear Scott turned to the racks of gear and grabbed a plate carrier for Tools and a rifle, the good ol' M4 mini variant, the CQBR, all the goodies of the 5.56mm bullet in a sub machine gun package. Placing them on a table he snagged a helmet and the full-body suit that went with it under a persons uniform.

Walking into the room, Tools looked around. "Anybody up for a field trip?". He sounded light hearted, almost cheery. Tools looked at the table, "All that for me?" he said in an awh-gush voice.

A chuckle rippled about the room for a second, before the team members returned to their gear, where as Scott headed towards Tools, "They are, and yea all for you. Try to bring it back intact?"

"You know I'll probably be the one that will be fixing them after this op.". Tools took off his shirt, showing two large burn scars from staff weapons and a fee bullet wounds. He wasn't ashamed of them, they were part of his person. He put the body armor on, snapping the clips secure. He connected the rifle to the incorporated sling. "You got a helmet for this big Mellon of mine?"

"Yea that'd be the big black thing on the table with the shiny faceplate." Scott laughed as he patted the man on his now armored shoulder, "Address your flock, good sir. Details what were after, the works."

"You sure that freezer didn't affect your behavior towards ranking officers?" Tools shot him with a grin. He turned to the team. "People, we're after generators, fuel, ship-ammunition, command crystals and everything else interesting. Primaries are fuel and generators. Also ammo. Secondaries are what remains. We're also taking medics on this team, their one target is medical supplies."

"Thumper, Patches, and Bear, those medics are your babies, get them in and out, get everything you can get your hands on, I have a feeling were gonna need it." The trio moved off towards the medics that had arrived to help, "Alright then, Tools, Breaker, and Truck your with the Major, you stick to his side, help him get his shit done." They did as their other team mates had done and moved towards the Major, "Smoke, Chief, and Ira, will be handling all the computer related stuffs, you know what I'm talking about; as for the rest of you. If it looks like we need it, take it, also at this point we don't know the situation aboard the Oblivion, so be cautious, if it moves double tap..." he said, and they echoed back, "Repeat as necessary!"

"Hooah! Alright, move out!" Scott ordered, "Major, let's go see what Santa brought us for an early Christmas, shall we?"

"One last thing, do not just pull components out, you will damage it beyond repair." Tools hollered over the noise. After that he took his helmet from the table and followed. Outside was a junior engineer with a combat bag that clicked into the armor. It was filled with tools of any kind. "By the way, if you find any useful tools or tablets, take them."

"Roger that Sir." He replied as they headed towards the shuttle bay, he grabbed the PTT button on his armored chest. "Bridge this is Street Fighter Actual, we are moving to shuttle bay, waiting for a go confirmation over?"

Walking into the hangar, Tools immediately filed in, taking the first seat behind the pilot and somewhat shouted a greeting, "Howdy!"

  • Lieutenant Rachel Newton, United States Navy
    • Pilot, USS Sovereign
    • USS Sovereign Airspace, Ida Galaxy
  • March 29th, 2012
    • January 7th, 2025

"Lieutenant get on deck and get a shuttle ready to launch and bring over a team to the enemy ship. I will be joining you on deck to rearm and refuel my bird and I will be riding heard over you to make sure nothing happens to you or team."

+Valkyrie+ "Yes ma'am. Will make my landing just behind the bombers" Rachel said as she watched the bombers land one by one after each other as she got into position to begin her landing. She got the go from flight control and she began her decent before landing back on the hanger deck of the USS Sovereign.

She had no time to rest as she was going to have to head back out there again in a jumper to get a team aboard the enemy ship. As the deck crew brought the ladders up next her F-302 she opened the cockpit and took off her helmet.

She looked around the deck to see how busy it was with crew rushing everywhere. Rachel climbed out and down the ladders as she looked around for her jumper. She saw it as she came off the ladder and headed straight over and into the cockpit and sat in the pilot seat which she was so used to.

"Howdy!"

"Is that everyone aboard?" Rachel said as she got ready to seal the rear hatch.

Clutching her pack, Jayden took a seat with her assigned crew then glanced at them with a smile. "So, you're... Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail, was it?" Her grin widened. "Hopefully, we'll be able to grab some important supplies... and I know I'm in charge of that. But I understand, too, that you guys are in charge of getting us in and out safely, so tell me what to do and I'll do it."

While she had some combat training and had been under fire, those sorts of tactics weren't her specialty.

She glanced up as the shuttle's radio crackled.

=^= Maruki to shuttle, launch when ready, =^= the XO's voice sounded, =^= Scans show a few stragglers on the Oblivion, so watch yourselves. =^=

Tools climbed in the co-pilot's seat, thinking that he's the ranking officer and the oldest on board he claimed the seat. "Yep, all here."

He rubbed his back into the seat. "Nice jumper you got here." He offered like nothing destructive had happened.

Sarah followed Lt. Newton on to the deck and just waited as her flight crew changed out ammo and fixed the minor damage that she had. She also started to get a look at everything that had happen to her flight deck and she knew that she was going to have a long and hard work on her hands to get the deck and her birds fixed.

She got the notice that her bird was armed and fueled was topped off and she was clear to launch again. So, she got to the catpults and launched into space again. She kicked the burn on and went to cover the transport and provide close air support for them if needed even with them on the ship.

Smiling from his standing position in front of Thump and Patches, Sergeant First Class Zavier Lester "Bear" Herbert, leaned in; "Something like that Corporal, but I warn you, Flopsy and Mopsy over there can be a bit sensitive..." He said letting out a laugh, which received glares from both Medical Sergeants, "As for everything else, just remember your basic training and AIT, and let us do the rest." He said with a reassuring smile and an offer of his large hand, "By the way I am Zavier Lester "Bear" Herbert, that is Anthony Mark "Thumper" Griggs, and that is Justin Stephen "Patches" Dodd." He said pointing at each respectively.

From the front of the Jumper behind Tools, Scott smiled that man could make a friend anywhere, anytime. Tools had already given the all up and the hatch had been closed, now it was just time to wait on the the XO.

=^= Maruki to shuttle, launch when ready, =^= the XO's voice sounded, =^= Scans show a few stragglers on the Oblivion, so watch yourselves. =^=

=^= Roger that Colonel, thank you. =^= Scott replied releasing the PTT button on his radio, with that he pulled his helmet onto his head and gave it two solid thumps, the sign to get ready to the rest of the team. He tapped their pilot on the shoulder twice, "Alright Lieutenant, lets go for a ride."

With that they were off, it was a quick trip, the cloak was engaged and it was a straight shot for the Oblivion. Once they were in visual range, Scott found them a perfect spot to land, the hanger deck, which had a large hole blown in it, just the right size for a Jumper.

"Lieutenant, see that hole, that's their hanger deck put us down there if you please."

"Yep, all here."

"Nice jumper you got here."

"Thank you sir." Rachel said calmly as she ran a last minute pre-flight check and sealed the rear hatch. She watched as the fighters that were going to cover her jumper took off.

"Alright Lieutenant, lets go for a ride."

"Ok, everyone keep yourself inside the jumper at all time till we land and make a complete stop." Rachel said as she lifted the jumper off the ground and moved in a position to leave the hanger bay. As the jumper launched over the fighters started to move into formation to cover it.

"Thanks for the cover Valkyrie." Rachel said as she ran a scan of the ship to find the best point of access.

"Lieutenant, see that hole, that's their hanger deck put us down there if you please."

"Yes I see it Sergeant, however with the shields out that would mean the bay is decompressed. I am detecting an airlock that the jumper might be able to use as a point of access." Rachel stated as she brought the jumper around to the airlock. The airlock had obviously been based off a Ancient design as it was designed to be an airlock for a jumper. She reversed the jumper till it clicked into the airlock and the airlock compressed.

"And we are here." Rachel said as she opened the rear hatch. "We are on the level above the hanger bay, post side."

Smiling from his standing position in front of Thump and Patches, Sergeant First Class Zavier Lester "Bear" Herbert, leaned in; "Something like that Corporal, but I warn you, Flopsy and Mopsy over there can be a bit sensitive..." He said letting out a laugh, which received glares from both Medical Sergeants.

"I'll keep that in mind," Jayden replied, although there was a playful glint in her eyes.

"As for everything else, just remember your basic training and AIT, and let us do the rest." He said with a reassuring smile and an offer of his large hand, "By the way I am Zavier Lester "Bear" Herbert, that is Anthony Mark "Thumper" Griggs, and that is Justin Stephen "Patches" Dodd." He said pointing at each respectively.

"Pleased to meet you," she said, taking each man's hand and giving it a firm shake. "I'm Jayden Kells... no nickname yet... that's all right, I hope?" She laughed. "I'm glad to be in good hands!"
