"Two of them?" Liah grinned, glancing at Christene. "I don't know if the ship
can handle that!" She laughed, then looked back to Karl. "I'd better get to the
shuttle bay, Sir." Her attention went back to Liah. "You coming?" With that,
she trotted off...

Christene growled, murmuring to Karl, "I swear, some day I'm gonna tear that girl a new one." And stood, running out with Liah as she headed for the shuttles.

The ramp to the shuttle was still lowering as Liah grabbed her bag and was
running into the rain with Christene close on her heels, headed for the ruins
where L.W. was waiting. "What do you have?" she called over the din of the rain.

Christene's quick strides along Liah made rain slam against her as she headed for Higgins. Her midnight-blue hair clung desperately to her shoulders as she looked down at L.W., silent as she stood at attention.

Shane peered out the window of the Transport shuttle and scowled before tapping his radio, =^=Shuttle 2-4 to all ground troops, be advised we're approaching the LZ and it looks like the storm is getting worse, over=^= he barked over the comm unit as he wrestled with the controls, sighing with relief as the ship finally landed.

=^=Shuttle 2-4 has landed, unloading Military personnel and awaiting evacuee's,=^= Shane drawled as he shut the hatch and pulled out a deck of cards as he sat down, starting to play solitaire on the panel behind him.

Karl sighed, and tapped down the radio control, overriding the flight ops officer's control. =^= Roger that, 2-4. Shuttles, marine team, and evacuees, be advised that you have one hour before conditions there get too hairy and you are unable to lift. I say again, one hour deadline. If you are late, you'll have to ride out the storm, over. =^= He made sure that everyone planetside got the message. ~If they're late, we'll have to bring down the Pillar to evac if there's a prayer in hell to get out in time.~

Angela kept walking through the storm, her hair blowing across her face as she took out her radio. =^=Commander... Commander Tenjin, I believe? This is Private Engineer Angela Etearna--Permission to come aboard?=^= She happily walked through the ranks, rain soaking her hair and clothing as she walked.

Karl groaned. =^= General Tenjin, speaking. And get on the shuttles, sheesh. Ask the shuttle pilot. =^= He stretched in his chair, till his shoulders popped. =^= Can you tell me how long, estimate, till the other outpost personnel are ready to move out, over. =^=

Angela kept heading for the Shuttle. =^=Estimate... Hour, thirty minutes, at least--a lot of people found this rather unexpected. Hey, y'know, Chrissy's told me a lot about you!=^= She let the button on the radio go, then spoke into it again. =^=Any idea where she might be?=^=

Karl growled, and pushed the transmit button. =^= Private, at the risk of sounding brisk, I'm rather busy, you'll see your sister after you break orbit. Now, any more questions, non-vital? Also, is that an hour an' thirty, or just somewhere between one hour and thirty? Over. =^= He let go and waited patiently.

Angela rolled her eyes. =^=An hour AND thirty minutes, at least--ninety minutes. And you are a very rude man.=^= She let the button go, sighing as she kept helping the people with their bags.

Karl sputtered softly, indignant. =^= Lady, I'm a soldier, and the commander of a vessel, do you think I have time to sit around chatting? And ninety minutes, not good enough. Also, remember, I'm a general, you want a paycheck? General Tenjin out. =^= He let go, and contacted the outpost commander, to relay the need to speed. After he got off the radio, he tapped the intercom. =^= Major Zoer, this is General Tenjin. Status report in thirty words or less, please. =^=

=^= Major Zoer, this is General Tenjin. Status report in thirty words or less,
please. =^=

=^="Aye general, word is that the buildings will survive some damage but we've found some basements that will survive the crash. We had some beacons placed, they should come up on the sensors any time now." =^= is Twan's information for the general.

He continues to oversee the transformation of the cargo bay which is going smoothly.

Major Edward Hamilton taxied into position at the mouth of the USS Midway's hangar. The Midway was a large BC-304 tasked with delivering a new Air Wing to the Pillar of Dawn. Hamilton's F/A-37 Talon was one of them.

"Echo One Niner Niner to Mustang, request permission for takeoff." The Major waited for a reply. After a brief pause the Flight Deck officer answered.

"Roger Echo. You are good to go. Vector 2-4-9 to Dawn."

He shoved the Talon to full throttle and was hurtled off into space, towards the Pillar of Dawn.

Karl tapped his radio as the Midway emerged from hyperspace. =^= Pillar of Dawn to Midway, come in. =^= He smiled as the other captains voice spoke through the speakers. =^= Hey, General, glad to see you. Delivering your air wing now. Time to finally replace those antiques you carry, huh? =^= Karl chuckled. =^= Copy that. =^= He switched to the pilots frequency. =^= Request you reduce speed to five knots at... distance of four kilometers, over. =^=

Hamilton sighed and reduced his speed. The Pillar of Dawn was in view, now, and he lowered his landing gear, and raised his Talon's nose. "Echo 199, requesting clearance for landing." He said into the radio.

Karl smiled, and didn't answer for a second, before pressing the radio. =^= Roger that, Echo one-ninety-nine. Your clearance is granted. =^= He stood from his seat, and walked to the hatch, heading for the hanger.

Hamilton swiftly put the plane down, and engaged the brakes immediately. The Talon was a joy to fly, and he was reluctant to leave the cockpit. But when he spotted the ships captain striding toward his plane, he didn't hesitate to start down the ladder. He held out an extended hand. "Sir, Major Edward Hamilton, pleased to meet you. The rest of your wing will be arriving soon."
